NuCamp believes that everyone, regardless of financial status, should have access to quality technical education. That’s why NuCamp is dedicated to offering immersive coding bootcamps at the lowest costs possible. If you’re ready to take your coding skills to the next level and save your wallet in the process, NuCamp may be the best route for you!

Additional Info

The quality of curriculum that NuCamp offers is astounding considering the low price! NuCamp offers three different courses at their Seattle campus. The 4 week Web Development course instruction in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and Visual Studio Code. There are no prerequisites for this course. For NuCamp’s 17 week Advanced Front End + Mobile Development course you’ll work with some of the following concepts: Responsive Web Development with Bootstrap, Web and Mobile Development with React, Git and Github, Packaging and Compiling, and Visual Studio Code. With this program, you’ll focus on all aspects of front end and mobile development to become a well rounded and employable coder. You’ll need a basic understanding of front end development including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript before taking this course. For NuCamp’s 22 week Full Stack Web + Mobile App Developer course, you’ll focus on the following: all front end concepts mentioned above, Backend with NodeJS, Databases and Storage, and Web Application Architecture. For this course, you’ll need to have a basic understanding of front end development concepts before attending. Regardless of which option you choose, the quality of education is outstanding.

NuCamp’s bootcamps last anywhere from 4 to 22 weeks. NuCamp also supports hybrid curriculum. For NuCamp’s learning schedule, you’ll work on your own in the NuCamp online portal for at least 3 to 4 hours a day Monday through Friday. On Saturdays, you’ll attend a 4 hour instructor led workshop which starts at 9:00am and ends at 1:00pm.

NuCamp purposely chooses to withhold it’s job placement data. The reasoning behind this is that NuCamp believes that other bootcamps place too much weight on job placement statistics. NuCamp also believes that other coding bootcamps may use different tools of deception to alter their job placement statistics. For this reason, NuCamp chooses to focus on its current student and alumni’s individual job placement instead of keeping track of student’s progress data collectively. Regarding career support, NuCamp graduates are automatically enrolled in a 6 week career development program that helps graduates connect with employers.

One of the biggest perks of attending NuCamp is the bootcamp’s dedication to lowering prices. While tuition may vary based on your preferred course or location, the following prices are for all courses at the Seattle campus. NuCamp offers a beginner 4 week coding bootcamp which costs $320, an advanced 17 week coding bootcamp which costs $1,260, and an advanced 22 week bootcamp which costs $1,620. Students will receive a 15% “Early Bird” discount for registering for any one of the above mentioned bootcamps at least two weeks before the designated bootcamp start date. NuCamp allows monthly payments at no extra cost to you. Additionally, NuCamp is also a proud partner of the Amazon Career Choice Program.

In an effort to teach myself to code, I tried few online courses on udemy (for the past 3 months). Though I had a decent start in each of them, I often found myself stuck and needed guidance. I knew a part-time bootcamp would bridge the gap. Being a beginner, I started with Web Fundamentals – our instructor was very knowledgeable. The in-person workshops kept me accountable and motivated me to keep moving forward. I am looking forward to joining the Front End course offered by Nucamp. I would have liked the Web Fundamentals course to be perhaps a week or 2 longer and focus on 1 or 2 more projects which would help further reinforce the concepts learned.

I chose Nucamp because firstly it was affordable and was a flexible option to do homework and assignments while I work full-time. I enjoyed the weekly workshops with my instructor. She was very knowledgeable and patient with each student. I encourage anyone who has been wanting to learn how to code to enroll in Nucamp because of the flexibility it offers.

I looked at various bootcamp options before giving Nucamp a shot. Most other offerings are far more expensive and are significant investments in time and money. I was pleased with the Nucamp Web Fundamentals course which lasted 4 weeks and will likely move forward with the Full Stack Developer course (22 week commitment) after this experience. The course is arranged so that you can work a regular 9-5 job, using off time to study/code to prepare for the Saturday 5 hour meet-up hosted by the instructor. The format worked well for me despite the distractions thrown at me by life. I enjoyed having a more structured approach to the material than I would have had access to if I had chosen to “go it alone, teach myself” by buying a book or just googling it. Having the instructor and classmates to bounce questions off of resolved issues and expanded knowledge faster than the singular approach.

Nucamp’s pace of learning had the mix of online and in person training and accountability that best fit my situation. I would highly recommend Nucamp for any person wanting to explore a web development career.

I chose Nucamp coding bootcamp because I wanted to see if coding is something I could enjoy. I work full time and overtime, so other schooling is not right for me; 2-3 hours online during the week and one weekend day in person is workable. The price is well worth the experiment. In my case, I enjoyed the beginner bootcamp so much that I’ve signed up for the more extensive bootcamp. A few people quit halfway through. I can’t help but think they found it worthwhile, though; I would have, even if it wasn’t for me. Knowing is better than the opposite.

I chose NuCamp because it was inexpensive, and it seemed like a great jumping off point. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. The program guided me towards learning the essentials, and the instructor was always helpful, whether online or in-person. I just finished the Web Development Course, and I’m already signed up for the Full Stack Course in October.
